I had a tremendous experience while working for SDALI. I was positioned in Seoul and enjoyed the stimulating sights and sounds of city life. Teaching English and Bible was a real challenge each day but the students made everything worthwhile. They were so eager to learn, so quick to laugh and so appreciative when you showed them attention and kindness. When I went the extra mile to make a lesson more enjoyable they were very responsive. The most rewarding experiences I had were with the students one on one and in small groups. When I spent "extra" time with them in a private conversation club or perhaps enjoyed a chat and a warm cup of tea at a local cafe, they just seemed to blossom. Sharing Christ isn't so difficult when they see that you care and are interested in their lives. I was able to witness to many students and one in particular I was privileged to see baptized after studying the Bible together. This was a student who told me at the beginning of Level 1 that he did not believe in God. You may not see thousands converted in a day but if you are patient and stedfast in your faith you will be blessed. And some of the friendships you make, you will never forget! Angie Guy
